Chuck McKay, author, marketing guru, and founder of Advance My Practice is looking for practitioners with a talent for writing who might be interested in joining their team of contributing editors. Michael Cohen of CAMLAW posted about a $250,000 prize to a practitioner or researcher in the field of complementary or alternative medicine.
Nominations for the Dr. Rogers Prize for Excellence in Complementary and Alternative Medicine open February 15, 2007 with the winner announced November 1, 2007. The Dr. Rogers Prize for Excellence in Complementary and Alternative Medicine will be awarded to a health researcher or practitioner who has demonstrated vision, leadership and integrity and who has made a significant contribution to the field of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM).

The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) has created a career development award for selected CAM clinicians who wish to pursue a career in research. NCCAM is a division of the National Institute of Health (NIH).
Award recipients get up to five years of intensive research training to help launch a career in research. What makes this opportunity realistic is that it provides up to $75,000 in annual salary for participants. Most early-career CAM professionals are so cash strapped that they can’t afford to spend any more time in school - the NCCAM award could easily change that.
